I firmly believe that it is most important to create authentic connections with clients. Real healing only happens when both the client and the counselor can be their real selves. I work to create within therapy a genuine and safe space that is not always easy to find out in the world. I hope to help clients learn to create these safe places for themselves through improved life and relationship skills. My goals are the client’s goals as my client-centered approach leads me to seek a better understanding of the client’s worldview and how it interplays with their daily tasks and interactions with others. I seek to draw out the unique and positive aspects of clients so that they can discover unused and undiscovered possibilities for their life. I place an importance of whole-wellness to achieve life changing outcomes from therapy. I believe each person’s life experiences as well as their physical health, mental health, social interactions and spirituality are all significant to how they experience life each day. My areas of interest and continued study are adolescent trauma, mood disorders, marriage and adult trauma counseling. I am eager to continue growing my counseling competencies to better serve the mental health needs of others. Having a passion for helping others live their best life, I seek to support clients to reach their goals, experience healthier relationships, and achieve life changing results. Life can become challenging and overwhelming. It is not uncommon to feel powerless or ineffective when trying to change certain life situations. You may need an unbiased and compassionate person to help you gain and improve the skills necessary to manage these challenges. My deepest hope is that through a therapeutic partnership you will not only better manage difficult life circumstances, you will discover new passions and purpose for your life. I am able to work with clients who have various mental and emotional concerns. Please feel free to call me to ask any questions you may have or to make an appointment.
